#1 Movie Blogpost: REBEL

Rebel the movie by Anthony was interesting and touched base on a lot of issues teenagers endure through their young years of high school. I think the opening scene was important because as the clip was rolling it was showing the main character smoking and being aggressive which gets a huge point across, Anthony did a good job at introducing the characters. Getting the main characters parents involved was an important move regarding how the child acts. Also having the principal play a role in teaching the students is great because we see the support the children are getting from both family and school. Although they don't show enough support through the child's eyes it's still very important to witness them in the child's life. I liked the way the camera was shot in many of the shots because the effects are amazing. I think they catch the viewers attention and it doesn't get boring while watching, the editing was great and the story line kept me interested. I think the character's picked made the perfect story because it wasn't steroteypical. It actually referred to real life problems the teen was facing. The issue with girls, friends and bullies all makes perfect sense. IT HAPPENS A LOT. And I think Anthony was trying to address issues that occur by making his main character a guy that is reckless and doesn't care for his family. We see that although things occur that make the main character reckless we also see his heart because of the way he acts after a guy was killed. I think this goes to show everyone goes through a tough phase and eventually they learn from it.
